The concert featured Gilbert, along with supporting acts Michael Ray and Lindsay Ell. As of yet, no word has come for a rescheduled date.

Following the cancellation, Gilbert took to social media to apologize to his jilted fans.

“I hate seeing the flooding that is (going) on in the area and want to be sure y’all are staying safe out there,” Gilbert wrote. “I don’t like postponing shows but we can’t risk the safety of our band, our crew and our fans.”

Despite the cancellation, the team at the Riverbend noted that Friday’s govt mule concert scheduled for Friday will proceed as planned.
