Pastor Taiwo Odukoya had a twin brother, Kehinde Odukoya when he was younger. He attended Baptist Primary School, Kigo Road, Kaduna, and St. Paul’s College (now known as Kufena College, Wusasa), Zaria, before enrolling in the University of Ibadan in 1976 and graduating with a degree in petroleum engineering in 1981.

Pastor Taiwo Odukoya had the experience of being married twice in his life. He first entered into matrimony with Bimbo Odukoya, whom he encountered during their time at the University of Ibadan in 1980. This initial union led to a marriage ceremony in 1984, and the couple had three children: Jimmy OdukoyaTolu Odukoya Ijogun, and Tobi Odukoya together. 

However, tragedy struck when Bimbo Odukoya tragically lost her life in a devastating plane crash in 2005. Despite this immense loss, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya decided to give love another chance, and on January 5, 2010, he tied the knot with Rosemary Simangele Odukoya from South Africa. Their union resulted in the birth of two sons: Jomiloju Odukoya and Timilehin Odukoya.

On 7 August 2023, it was announced that Pastor Taiwo Odukoya died at 67.

Taiwo Odukoya was blessed with five children: Jimmy OdukoyaTolu Odukoya IjogunTobi OdukoyaJomiloju Odukoya, and Timilehin Odukoya.
