Kerr is a fan of making smoothies in the morning. She shared her recipe in an interview with StyleCaster. "I make a green power smoothie that is alkalizing, nutrient-dense, and high in vitamins and minerals. Typically my recipe is: the water from a young fresh coconut (or half a glass of coconut water), half a glass goat or almond milk, one tablespoon of acai powder, one tablespoon of goji berries, one tablespoon of spirulina, one tablespoon of raw cacao powder, one tablespoon of maca powder, one tablespoon of chia seeds, one tablespoon of raw vegan protein powder, one tablespoon of coconut oil. Combine all the ingredients in a blender and enjoy."
Kerr tells Harper's Bazaar that she is very aware of what food she eats and what she decides to put in her body. She says that she's even done research on food and health. "I live by the philosophy that beauty starts from within and I make a conscious effort to fill my body with nutrients through the food I eat," she says. "Becoming a mother has made me even more aware and more passionate about nutrition and wellness, so much so that I am now a certified health coach practitioner."
Kerr tells Harper's Bazaar that she makes sure to stay hydrated each day. The model likes to drink water throughout her day, and likes to start first thing in the morning."I drink warm water and lemon every morning," Kerr said. "I also drink lots of good quality purified, and preferably alkaline water throughout the day."
Kerr has an incredible body, and isn't afraid to show it off. She was a Victoria's Secret Angel, and isn't afraid to do revealing photo shoots. Kerr says that she has a lot of confidence in herself, and embraces her body. "I believe in celebrating the female figure and embracing what we've been given, not hiding that," Kerr told Esquire UK.
Kerr tells Body & Soul that she likes to do a lot of different things to stay in shape. "I like to exercise every day, but I mix it up," she says. "Sometimes I'll go for a walk or a run, or I'll do Pilates or resistance training." "With the proper weight, a single set of 12 to 15 repetitions can build muscle efficiently in most people and can be as effective as multiple sets of the same exercise," says the Mayo Clinic. "To give your muscles time to recover, rest one full day between exercising each specific muscle group, and remember to complement weight training exercises with aerobic activity."
